Small business owner Dave Anderson knew that if he gave the Skyland
Volunteer Fire Department a Christmas present, he would probably get
it back.
Anderson said he was thinking of his friends and family
when his company gave the fire department a $5,000 unit that would
power the important "Jaws
of Life" tool used to get crash victims out of their vehicles.
"If my wife or kids or anybody we ever knew... ever needed that
tool, the money we would donate to them would be a drop in the bucket." Anderson
said.
Anderson Owner of Trident Micro System in Arden, Surprised the fire
fighters by bringing the motor to their December 11 Christmas party.
Anderson said his company, which manufactures equipment for the two-way
radio industry, appreciated the friendliness and help it had received
from the Skyland fire department.
"A lot of fire departments are just cut and dry, but these guys
are just the nicest bunch of guys," Anderson said. "I'm just
really impressed with them."
