 Avtec and Trident Announce Development of Digital Trunked Radio Interface |

| GILBERT, SC – October 19, 2005 – Avtec, Inc., in conjunction with Trident Micro Systems (Arden, NC) announced today the two companies are collaborating to build an interface between Trident´s NTS networked trunking infrastructure and Avtec´s DSPatch™ and DSPatchNET™ console communications systems. The digital interface is based on Trident´s PassPort™ technology – an advanced trunking protocol for radio systems. The interface will be available in first quarter 2006. The announcement came during the 2005 Enterprise Wireless show October 18-20 in Nashville, TN.
