 The Tuff-Modem Plus is designed with special watchdog circuitry which monitors the modem’s micro-controller in order to prevent common modem lock-up problems that occur with standard off the shelf modems. EMI filters and lightning protection circuits help protect the unit from lightning or voltage transients that may occur at tower sites. The Tuff-Modem Plus has a 2 Amp N.O. that can be used to remotely control equipment.

Tuff-Modem Plus, with its ruggedized chassis is designed to endure the hardships of the remote site while offering support for up to FOUR individual DTE devices.

     The Tuff-Modem is specifically designed to endure the hardships of the remote site. Based on a Custom Micro Controller, the unit is protected against modem lock-up which can occur with other modems. The Tuff-Modem has no internal buffer and passes all data immediately through to the phone line or from the phone line to the serial connector
