The reliability of Trident Micro Systems’ Tuff-Modem Plus - Site and Shop Modem ensures constant up-time in communicating with your remote system.

Lock-up Eliminated
The Tuff-Modem Plus is designed with special watchdog circuitry which monitors the modem’s micro-controller in order to prevent common modem lock-up problems that occur with standard off-the-shelf modems.  This eliminates the frustration of traveling to your site to reset an ordinary modem.

Protective Filters and Circuits
Along with supervisory circuitry, the Tuff-Modem Plus is designed with EMI filters and lightning protection circuits to help protect the unit from lightning or voltage transients that may occur at tower sites.

Remote Relay Control
The Tuff-Modem Plus has a 2 Amp N.O. relay that can be used to remotely control equipment.  This relay can be activated by simply calling the Tuff-Modem Plus and accessing the relay control. The relay control is password protected to prevent accidental enable/disabling of the relay.  The Tuff-Modem Plus will remember the status of the relay should power be removed from the unit. When power is restored, the relay will return to its previously programmed state.

Ruggedized Chassis
Tuff-Modem Plus, with its ruggedized chassis is designed to endure the hardships of the remote site while offering support for up to FOUR individual DTE devices.

Remote Control Relay
An internal relay is provided with switchable contact rated up to 2 Amps.  The relay may be activated by accessing the modem to turn devices on or off at a site.
