Trident Micro Systems is pleased to announce the release of NTS 4.2, the most significant enhancement to PassPort yet! The result of years of development, NTS 4.2 takes your NTS network to the next level of performance and functionality.

New Optional Features
With NTS 4.2, you are now able to add optional mission critical and data features to your system including Emergency Declaration, Channel Backup and Priority Access. NTS 4.2 enabled systems also provide the ability to select operation in either transmission or message trunking modes on a per talk-group basis.

New TrAVL Data Option Support
NTS 4.2 supports Trident Micro Systems’ new TrAVL Data option which includes support for AVL, telemetry and enhanced data applications. In addition to these significant additions to the suite of optional features available with NTS 4.2, you’ll enjoy a newly upgraded release of NTS Commander and a host of other enhancements found throughout the network.  MORE

Installation Requirements
Installing and operating NTS 4.2 and later versions of NTS operating firmware require the use of Trident’s NTS Master Card II.  In order to take advantage of the NTS Channel Backup option an NTS Dual Channel Cardversion 1.6 or later is required for the channel(s) that are to be backed up. The NTS TrAVL Data option requires a 1.7 or later NTS Dual Channel Card.
